Settings
The Settings section shows your account details and lets you choose which alerts you receive and how the dashboard looks.
Accessing Settings
- Click "Settings" in the sidebar, or
- Click your name in the top right and select "Settings"

Your Account
The Your Account card shows the details held for you:

| Name | Your first and last name |
| The email address you sign in with | |
| Phone | Your contact number, if the school has one |
These are read-only in the Parents App. To change your name, email or phone number, contact your child's school.
Notification Preferences
Switch each alert on or off:

| Email Notifications | Receive notifications via email |
| SMS Notifications | Receive notifications via SMS |
| Grade Alerts | Get notified when new grades are posted |
| Attendance Alerts | Get notified about attendance issues |
| Fee Reminders | Receive payment reminders |
| Event Notifications | Get notified about school events |
Display Settings

Saving Your Changes
Nothing is saved until you click "Save Settings" at the bottom of the page. You'll see "Settings saved." when it works, or a message explaining what went wrong if it doesn't.
:::note In the demo you'll see "Demo mode — settings were not saved." Demo changes are never stored. :::
Your Profile Page
The Profile page in the sidebar shows the same account details plus:
- My Children — each linked child with their class and admission number
- A "Log Out" button
Linked Children
To add or remove a child from your account, contact your school administration — they manage the links.
Support
If something isn't working or your details are wrong:
- Contact your child's school
- Reach out to the school's IT support
Tips
- Keep info updated - Ask the school to correct your contact details
- Save your changes - Preferences only apply after "Save Settings"
- Configure notifications - Balance awareness and overload
- Review regularly - Check settings periodically
